Josswest

Incredibly gorgeous 8 engraved pointer – 4 long and 4 short ebony points without veneers into highly a figured bird’s eye maple forearm – notched tiffany style ivory diamonds in each of the long points – all points are capped with thin, elegant spear tips – fancy ebony butt sleeve with huge ivory windows that are meticulously engraved and notched tiffany style ivory diamonds in between – very intricate ring work at A, B, C, D, and E that consists of a thick band of black lip mother-of-pearl bordered by silver and inlaid ivory diamonds with small ebony dots – flat face sleeved ivory joint with Radial pin – black/white speck Irish linen wrap – butt cap could easily be ivory, but may also be Bill’s synthetic stuff, just too close to tell – this is a nice classically styled cue but with loads of detailed inlay work that gives it a modern flair – brand new condition and a great price

2 shafts (13.0mm) with ivory ferrules

58" and weighs 19.5oz (15.7 and 3.8, 3.8)

PRICE – $4250

Josswest

Classic “old school” Josswest cue from the mid-late 1970’s – 4 ebony points with veneers (thick maple and thick black) into a golden color bird’s eye maple forearm – notched MOP diamond in each point and maple stitch ring above wrap – black butt sleeve with a billet ring of six white phenolic windows with black and white rings above and below – flat face ivory joint (3/8-10) – joint collars have the typical old Joss style maple/ebony block ring work bordered by black and white rings on the outside in the collars – synthetic butt cap without a logo – white/double black speck Irish linen wrap – this cue has been refinished by Andy Gilbert with two shafts made to match, ivory ferrules, and matching ring work – he did a remarkable job salvaging this old cue and even made us a matching joint cap

Paul Drexler (pfd Studios)

Loaded pink ivory, ebony, and ivory masterpiece – forearm and butt is rare pink ivory wood from Africa – “web” style inlaid patterns consisting of 5 sets of long ebony outlined ivory diamonds in the forearm as well as accompanying outlined diamonds and points that give the effect of going into the wrap area as well as the joint collar – repeated pattern in the butt – flat face sleeved ivory joint with a Uni-Loc pin – ivory butt cap with Paul’s logo – black synthetic wrap that feels softer than the smoothest of leathers (it’s actually the material that’s used on the seat covers in small ultra high-end jet aircraft) – this cue was made about 4-5 years ago, but was recently given a complete refinish and wrap by Paul – straight out of a collection, butt is like new, and shafts are extremely clean with light play – pink ivory joint caps with ivory tops that are engraved with the pfd logo – HUGE cue for this money
